Highlights from 2015 2015 was a great year for Valence House. We have had a bloodie battle, digitised 6,000 photographs thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and who can forget being visited by the best dressed Father Christmas possibly EVER. Roll on 2016! Staff and volunteers pose for a #museumselfie with the famous Dagenham Idol. The Polka Dots were back by popular demand at Armed Forces Day. What would we do without our amazing volunteers… Here they are setting up for a table top sale to raise funds towards events. And here they are cleaning and repackaging ledgers acquired from the Town Hall. The grounds have never looked better. The Bloodie Battle of Valence happened. The 50 Years a Borough Project enabled us to catalogue, preserve and digitise 6,000 historic photographs. The Dagenham Girl Pipers performed at the Valence Fair. The day ended with everyone doing the Hokey-Cokey! And here he is Father Christmas in his bespoke suit!
