Come along to our tea party to share, debate, and celebrate women’s history in the borough.
Free tea, coffee, cake and biscuits will be accompanied by an exhibition on the history of women in the Borough with a display of original archive material focusing on the untold stories of ordinary women as well as the more famous stories associated with the likes of the Ford Women’s Strikers. There will also be an opportunity to play our women’s suffrage board game and watch old Pathe newsreel films relating to women’s history.
Former Local Studies Librarian Linda Rhodes will be giving a talk about the Dagenham Girl Pipers at 2pm.
Free event, 1pm-4pm
No booking required.
