Description

Highly decorated silver trophy awarded for the best individual entry in the Barking carnmival procession 1955. Prsented by the Carnival procession Sub-Committee. Awarded between 1955 and 1977. Damaged and repaired in many places.

Physical description

Decorative silver trophy. With moulded and engraved floral designs all over a waisted main body, except for a plain plaque in the centre which is engraved with the dedication. There is a country scene with a cottage on the back. It has a long narrow stem which is decorated with a relief of leaves and an un-stepped decorated foot. The handles are highly decorated floral scrolls. Mounted on a black plastic plinth that has 11 small silver shield attached to with the names of the winner engraved.
