Description

Black woolen bathing costume which belonged to Mrs Hilda Read of 46 Aldersey Gardens, Barking. Used during the 1930s and 1940s. Homemade.

Physical description

Knitted bathing costume of black wool. Tightly knitted in fine wool (3ply?). Has long leg pieces and three cut-out sections on the back for the shoulder blades. It is shaped to fit the female body.
