Painting which shows a brass band performing in a marquee. The conductor is standing in the centre forground with his back to the artist. The band members are arranged in a semi-circle in front of the conductor, seated on chairs. The conductor wears a blue suit whilst the players wear dark bottom with an orange top. Some have large blue cases at their feet. There appears to be an art exhibition taking place behind them, and there are people standing around in the background.
