Description

Embriodered blazer badge bearing the arms of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Found in an envelope dated 9.5.88 and marked old borough badges. Possibly used as the badge on ceremonial wear.

Physical description

Oval blazer badge embriodered onto black felt and backed with a tight-weave coarse fabric. The image shows the coat of arms of the London Borugh of Barking and Dagenham. Embriodered with red, blue, black, white and grey silk cotten, and with gold and silver twisted wire. Also has fine gold beads. The embriodered section has been padded to make it relief.
