Notes

Edward Pond (1929 – ). Pond was a locally born painter and designer. He attended the South East Essex Technical Collage and School of Art (1951-55) where he studied printed textile design. He also attended the Royal College of Art (1955-58) where he was awarded a Silver medal for his thesis. Pond was commissioned to produce works of art for First Great Eastern and Western electrical Units during the 1980s and 1990s. His train artworks included “The Fleet” and “Corfe Castle”.
