Description

Medal awarded to Thomas William Collins by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents for having been free of accidents from 1969 - 1972. In a white cardboard box, which has written on the lid, in blue ink, ?T W Collins?. Mr Collins was a long distance H.G.V. driver for Samuel Williams and Sons Limited.

Physical description

White metal medal on a green ribbon.The medal is circular with a banner below. The surface of the front is textured, has writing in relief around the circumference within a circular border, and in the centre is a triangle filled with red enamel. The ribbon is topped with a white metal bar with ?1969? in relief. The ribbon has a further three white metal bars attached to it, each with dates in relief, in descending order ?1790?, ?1971? and ?1972?.
