Description

Doorbell used by King George V to open Barking Power Station, May 19th 1925. Belonged to Mr John Armston Vice who was a Generation Operation Engineer at Barking Power Station after it opened in 1925 until 1951.

Physical description

In three parts. Black wooden box which housed internal wiring. Brass plate moulded with foliage design. Small cream button, possible bakalite.
