Description

Child's toy mangle, part of a set also comprising a wash tub, wash board, bucket and a clothes horse. The mangle is made of diecast metal with wodden rollers, and is on four small wheels. Donated by Mrs Jeyes as the set once belonged to her Sisters Neice (maiden name Palmer).

Physical description

Child's diecast metal mangle with wooden rollers. Mangle is dark green with a round red turning wheel to one end and a smaller green turning whell to the top. It stands on four small wheels with rubber rims and has a flat wooden board to the top and either side of the rollers. The wash tub and bucket sit one inside the other on two metal rungs under the rollers. Part of a set also comprising wash board, wash tub, clothes horse and bucket.
