Printed leaflet detailing the personal covenant of unity signed by the Barking Area Church Leaders in Barking Parish Church on Tuesday 23 January 1990.The covenant pledges that the leaders of the churches in Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest will pray, work and act together in every way they can. The covenant was signed by The Rt Revd James Roxburgh (Bishop of Barking, Church of England), The Rt Revd Thomas McMahon (Bishop of Brentwood, Roman Catholic), Mgr Michael Corley (Vicar General, Roman Catholic Church), The Revd Michael Davis (Moderator, Thames North Province of the United Reformed Church), The Revd Brian Galliers (Chairman, London Northeast District of the Methodist Church) and The Revd Douglas McBain (General Superintendent, Metropolitan Area of the Baptist Union). From a collection of items documenting Mrs Godfrey's time as Mayor elect for London Borough of Barking for the year 1974-5. Her daughter, Hilda Bastable was her Mayoress for this term.

Four page leaflet of pink paper printed throughout in black. Page 2 is headed ?What the Covenant means?, page 3 is headed ?A personal covenant? and page 4 contains a prayer. A4 paper folded in half.
