This collection comprises registers, recording the day to day attendance and absences of pupils at Furze Infant School (1975-2002). A number of the later volumes include details of any disabilities, illnesses, allergies, dietry requirements and family issues.


Furze Infant School was built on Bennetts Road, Chadwell Heath in 1949. The site was previously occupied by Whalebone School (also often referred to as Bennetts Road School), which closed after it was destroyed by enemy bombs during the Second World War.
