Physical description

3/4 length portrait of a standing man, turned slightly to his left, with right hand on hip. Very finely dressed in blue/grey waistcoat and pantaloons with gilt coloured edging. He also has white silk sleeves and a delicate lace cravat. Has a rust coloured cloak pinned to his right shoulder and drawn around the back of his body, which he clutches to his stomach with his left hand. He wears a waist length wig brown wig, and has a pencil moustache. He is leaning, on his left arm, on the marble balustrade of a balcony, past which a landscape can be seen.
