Black and white photograph of a group of gentlemen who were all Officers within Barking Council. They include Eric Farr, Barking Town Clerk (far left) and Mr Norman Bastable (Hilda Bastable's father-in-law), Chairman of Sanitary Inspectors (third from right). Also second from right is Mr Tweedy, deputy to Mr Bastable. From a collection of items documenting Mrs Godfrey's time as Mayor elect for London Borough of Barking for the year 1974-5. Her daughter, Hilda Bastable was her Mayoress for this term.

Most of the group are unidentifiable, except Mr Eric Farr (far left), Town Clerk for Barking Council until the 60s and Mr Bastable (second from right), Chairman of the Council's Sanitary Inspectors. Mr Bastable is shaking hands with a gentleman who is standing third from the left.
