Black and white photograph of a group of gentlemen who were all Officers within Barking Council. They include Eric Farr, Barking Town Clerk and Mr Bastable, Chairman of Sanitary Inspectors. From a collection of items documenting Mrs Godfrey's time as Mayor elect for London Borough of Barking for the year 1974-5. Her daughter, Hilda Bastable was her Mayoress for this term.

Physical description

Black and white photograph showing a group of six gentlemen dressed in black tie. The three gentlemen at the back are standing and the three in front are seated. Two other gentlemen are just visible to the left of the group. Most of the group are unidentifiable, except Mr Eric Farr (far left, back row), Town Clerk for Barking Council until the 60s and Mr Bastable (seated in the centre), Chairman of the Council's Sanitary Inspectors.
