Black and white photograph of a large group of people made up of Barking Council Officers. In the centre front stands Mr Norman Bastable, Chairman of the Sanitary Inspectors (Hilda Bastable's father-in-law) and beside him his wife May Eva/Eva May Bastable. Also, fifth from right is Mr McManus, head of the Library service in Barking, and his wife stand first from the right in the back row. From a collection of items documenting Mrs Godfrey's time as Mayor elect for London Borough of Barking for the year 1974-5. Her daughter, Hilda Bastable was her Mayoress for this term.
