after 1956 – before 1973
Colour photograph of a watercolour painting of the Town Quay, Barking, c1832. Based on the Bartlett picture of 1832 but including several fishing vessels.
View of the Town Quay looking towards St. Margarets Church. There are 11 boats of various size on the water and in the middle distance the Granary buildings are visible. Houses and warehouses line the far edge of the quay. In the right distance the top of St. Margaret's tower is just visible over the houses. In the bottom right corner two fisherman and a dog are seen.
